Advertising for Print and Digital

Throughout my career, I’ve ideated and designed hundreds of advertisements for the travel, theatrical, and entertainment industries. Featured below is a small selection of recent ads created primarily for the entertainment sector, targeting motion picture professionals, including gaffers, chief lighting technicians, and directors of cinematography. These ads have been published in leading industry publications worldwide.

Digital Advertising

The above is the hero image and web ad for the launch/release of new software. The graphic display the latest software feature, gradient mode, allowing for the user to create smooth color transitions. The light panels color transitions and the reflection was created with Photoshop. Adobe Illustrator was used to design the Spectrum OS logo and text.

The above ad was created as an awareness campaign announcing that in addition to product offerings, this company also offers services to assist in customer journeys. I developed, designed, photographed, and manipulated the ad art. Software: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator

This ad was created for an app and featured on digital displays in showrooms and at trade shows. The purpose was to create awareness for a wireless lighting control device. I developed, designed, photographed, and manipulated the ad art. Software: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator

This social media ad above announces the latest feature available in an upcoming product launch. The graph represents the extended color range offered in the latest dimmer. The graph and text was created in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop was used to design the color chart and reflection and the Dimmers were rendered using Cinema 4D. The focus of this social media post was to design an awareness image about the latest dimmer and a CTA to the products microsite. The image was also features on the cover of the product user guide. I art directed the composition, renderings, and lighting for this project. Software: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, WordPress

The web banner ad above announces the latest product launch. I photographed the product and added the light glow and the labels using Adobe Photoshop. The product branding was designed in Adobe Illustrator and import and manipulated to fit onto SkyLite. The background was an AI generated and created using Adobe Express. The final banner ad was compiled in Photoshop.

The above is one ad from a series created to accompany video interviews featuring renowned cinematographers, including Academy Award-winners Vilmos Zsigmond, ASC; László Kovács, ASC; Steven B. Burum, ASC; Russell Carpenter, ASC; and other distinguished directors of photography. For this campaign, I developed the concept, designer the layout artist, copywriter, and photographer. The above ad introduced the first LED lighting fixture and the technologies and benefits of the new technology. This ad also informed customers the new LED fixtures were a compliment to your traditional lighting options. I developed, composed, photographed, and designed the ad. Software: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, WordPress

This International ad introduced the LiteMat Spectrum, the first full-color fixture for LiteGear, to the domestic and European markets. To create this ad, I photographed the LiteMat fixture lighting a black wall and created a vector silhouette. To highlight and enhance the color transition, the photoshop gradient tool was used. All icons and logos were created in Adobe Illustrator and the ad layout was finalized with Adobe InDesign.

The launch of a flagship product, the Auroris required a visual that would convey the purpose of this large overhead lighting fixture. I art directed the key image and the ad to the left. I was also responsible for the ad composition, layout, overall design, copywriting, and copy editing. All icons and logos created in Adobe Illustrator, image touchups in Adobe Photoshop, and the layout composed in Adobe InDesign.

To convey the multiple division within Mole-Richardson and create awareness of the company web site (an early adopter on online shopping), this ad was created using traditional photography method using multiple exposures. Shot entirely with a medium format camera and using only gels for colors, five separate exposure were used to create the striking hero image. Software: Macromedia Freehand was used for generating the logos and QuarkXpress was chosen for page layout.
